Hurricane Helene brought devastation throughout Western North Carolina, and particularly Madison County. Born out of this need, the French Broad Crossing Madison County Support Foundation (“The FBC Foundation”) was established in 2024 as a 501(c)(3) organization to provide resources for the communities and people of Madison County and enhance the community via public service-related organizations, agencies and other entities serving the community.

Our mission is to provide support and resources to the population of Madison County, NC impacted by their economic circumstances or by virtue of emergent or catastrophic circumstances. The Foundation provides this support and resources via public service-related organizations and other entities serving the community under our three categories:

Community - Providing shelter, housing, food and heating fuel; repairing damaged property; and supporting education

Business - supporting new business development and recovery efforts of existing businesses impacted by economic circumstances or natural disasters

Environment - supporting river stream-bank restoration and cleanup
